Characterization of granular materials intervening in cement production

Studies of dry granular materials have intensively captured the attention of physicists and engineers during the last fifteen years (Jaeger et al. 1996; Duran, 1997). Their main role in many natural and industrial scenarios, makes the physics beneath them quite attractive and plenty of interesting, although apparently simple, complex problems.
