ABSTRACT
Among various supplementary support methods, the face bolt installation is one of the frequently used methods due to simplicity of work, economical reason and effective control of axial displacement. Its use increases dramatically by introduction of new materials and development of the method in Japan. In more than 70 working site per year, face bolt method is employed in Japan. Active researches are being conducted for investigating the support effect of face bolts and site investigation.
