ABSTRACT
Renewal of gravity flow sewer pipeline with the use of continuous polymer liners is one of the most efficient methods for restoration of its former technical and functional condition. In general, the method consists in inserting and forming a polymer liner to make it closefit to the pipeline. The purpose of the liner installing is to seal and strengthen the pipeline with minimum reduction of the pipeline cross-section. Among materials used for liner productions the most popular is so-called “prepreg” made of thermosetting polyester, epoxy or vinyl ester resins as well as HDPE or PVC. Liners may be inserted in loose form (prior to installation – resin prepreg; CIPP technology) or with the use of thermo-mechanical deformation (HDPE, PVC; FFP technology). In the manufacturers’specifications such constructions are commonly called “liner” or “sleeve”.
