ABSTRACT

Topologically, Osaka basin is divided into three zones of west lowland, east lowland, and Uemachi Upland as shown in Figure 1. The ground surface of UemachiUpland is about 30 m higher than the surrounding lowlands. The boundary between the West Lowland and the Uemachi Upland is a formed straight cliff with the NS direction. Since these topological features, the cliff was historically considered as a fault and has been named as Uemachi-Fault.
