ABSTRACT
Major system integration efforts are being performed in almost every organization, as the private and public sectors attempt to become more competitive. Some of the motivations to integrate clearly revolve around technological issues, the need to improve the results of technology investments, and cost reductions. Straddled with legacy technologies and systems that are inflexible and expensive to maintain, these organizations have only limited options. They must migrate to newer technologies.
