ABSTRACT
In the past decade, companies from all around the world have spent tens of billions of dollars in licensing, customizing, installing, maintaining, and upgrading enterprise resource planning systems. These systems have been applied in all conceivable industries, from banks and insurance companies to airlines and telecommunication companies, from manufacturing and utility companies to retail and hotel chains, from health care organizations and media companies to universities and government organizations, etc.
