ABSTRACT

Network analyzers probe into the wire where network communication takes place to understand what is occurring over that medium. Without such tools, network engineers would be left in the lurch as to when, how, and what is traversing the network. Analyzers are also responsible for decoding the bits and bytes of data communication into useful information used by network engineers, hardware/software developers, and others. Without these tools, it would be nearly impossible to troubleshoot communication errors, hardware failures, network design errors, and a farrago of other network problems.
