ABSTRACT

Polishers do not separate seed; they gently rub the cleaned seed to remove dust, discolorations, etc., from the seed surface and give the seed a brighter, cleaner appearance.

Polishers are of two general types: (1) those using a polishing agent such as sawdust, bran or wheat shorts to remove seed discolorations; and (2) those which subject the seed to a mild mechanical brushing or rubbing action.
