ABSTRACT

Over the last decades, stability and performance of control systems affected by bounded perturbations have been studied in depth. The attention of researchers and control engineers concentrated on robustness tools in the areas H∞, Kharitonov (or real parametric uncertainty), L1, Lyapunov, μ, and quantitative feedback control (QFT). For further discussions on these topics and on the exposition of the main technical results, the reader may consult different sections of this volume and the special issue on robust control of Automatica (1993).
