ABSTRACT
A possible check of the data is to measure all the parameters of the water balance and verify the equality of the equation: if the hypothesis %S ! 0 is true, then we can deduce that P - R ! E (Equation. 9.31). The measurements of rainfall and flow allow us to evaluate the degree of likelihood of the evapotranspiration. If this latter is not reasonable (as shown in Figure 5.1), then the rainfall and runoff measurements need to be verified.
