ABSTRACT
It is crucial that crime scenes are documented thoroughly. First responders must be complete in documenting all of their observations at the scene. If the scene and evidence within the scene are not documented completely and clearly it may leave Ÿrst responders and the evidence open to challenges in court. ™is may result in evidence being dismissed, which could have resulted in a successful prosecution, and damage the reputation and credibility of the Ÿrst responders.
