ABSTRACT

Acridine Orange MW 320 as the Acridine dyes are strongly yellow fluorescent dyes; stains for nucleic acids and is used for identification chloride hydrate of the malaria parasite. Acridine orange is weakly basic, is permeable to membranes and tends to accumulate in intracellular acidic regions. Some use in photodynamic therapy for tumors. The binding of acridine orange to nucleic acids has been extensively studied.
