ABSTRACT

Adam Technology’s 3DM Analyst Mine Mapping Suite comprising Calibcam, Analyst and Compare software are being utilized throughout the development of Ridgeway Deeps BC mine. Methods used for determining the minimum thickness of FRS, as required by Ridgeway’s Ground Support System specifications, include the visual inspection of recently mined development cuts, FRS depth testing using penetrometer and borehole analysis, and the use of Adamtech 3DM Photogrammetry systems. A commonly used method of observation involves the use of a stamp on the end of the boom arm of the shotcrete rig; this is pressed into wet FRS to indicate depth. Such point data does not fully represent the full profile thickness but can be a very useful visual QA/QC tool.
