ABSTRACT
LCL 18564 was obtained from the Coriell Repository. Chemicals and reagents were obtained from Sigma. A dual color (Annexin-V, propidium iodide), flow cytometry assay was used to monitor cell death (propidium iodide fluorescence) and apoptosis (FITCannexin-V staining of externalized phosphatidylserine). Poly-ADP ribose polymerase (PARP) cleavage was evaluated using standard Western immunoblot procedures. Acidic vesicle content was evaluated using the acidoptropic, fluorescent dye, Lysotracker Red (Invitrogen).
