ABSTRACT

Soil samples taken from Český kras protected area and the Labe river basin (Middle Bohemia, Czech Republic) have been used in this work. The soil samples were chosen from the places with elevated concentration As and Se in subsoil, where they are involved from to the ground and surface water system. They were dried at laboratory temperature and fractioned. pHH2O and pHKCl values were measured according to standard protocols (Thunjai, 2001). The soil samples were digested by microwave mineralization device MWS-2 Berghoff with HNO3 and HF. The content of As and Se in liquid samples was determined by ICPOES and AAS.
