ABSTRACT

Plants showed poor growth and strong symptoms of As toxicity. Particularly weak was the growth of rape, whereas velvetgrass was in better condition, which is consistent with reports by Meharg (1994) and other authors. A dry mass of rape shoots was on average 0.6 g/pot, and that of velvetgrass 1.23 g/pot.
