ABSTRACT
The tunnel is situated in the Prebichl formation of the Northern Calcarous Alps, i.e. fluviatile sediments on top of the Grauwacke formation.
The geological investigations have shown that the rock is characterized by an intensive alternation of sandstone and conglomerates exhibiting a high variation in bedding layer thicknesses and intact rock conditions.
