ABSTRACT
The field of slope stability encompasses the analysis of static and dynamic stability of earth slopes, rockfill dams, excavated slopes in soil and soft rock. Under the gravity action the rock slide occurs and plane of sliding forms.The probability of this happening can be calculated in advance using method of slices, Bishop’s method, Lorimer’s method, Solov’yev method and others. But despite of a variety of me-thods the problem of sliding surface localization remains not solved for any given situation. Many landslides have only been analyzed after the fact.
