ABSTRACT
An example of a FE discontinuum model of an olivine rock mass built from underground mapping data at an example mine is shown in Figure 2. The rock material for the specimen is discretized with three dimensional 10 node tetrahedron elements. The fault/joint response was approximated using a tractionseparation based cohesive element formulation.
