ABSTRACT
Several correlations have been developed to obtain rock mass properties (such as Young’s modulus) from lab estimated values or through the use of rock mass classification schemes (Hoek & Brown, 1997, Nicholson & Bieniawski, 1990, Palmstrom, 1995 & 1996). This paper presents the results of a similar attempt but correlating the lab estimation of deformation modulus or rock mass with in-situ measurements from dilatometer in Karun dam, Iran.
