ABSTRACT
Kandira stone is produced from quarries near Akcaova Village which is approximately 15 km away from Kandira county (Fig. 1). Kandira stone gets its name from Kandira County. In this study; geological and some geotechnical properties of Kandira stone are investigated through available literatures, field study and laboratory works. The preferences of Kandira stone as a natural construction material is also discussed.
