ABSTRACT
The scale model was built up in a strongbox, which has one side made of Perspex. First a foundation layer of Baskarp sand with a thickness of 50 mm has been applied. Then a 100 mm thick layer of Speswhite clay was installed, which represents the soft Holocene clay and peat layers in the Netherlands.
