ABSTRACT
Working stress analysis runs using FLAC have been carried out. The analyses assume fully drained, dry conditions. The backfill mesh comprised 3 rows of elements between each geogrid. Stress-dilatancy has been explored in some of the analyses (Rowe 1962, Bolton 1986, Simoni & Houlsby 2006).
