      ABSTRACT

      Common numerical algorithms have been applied to integrate a constitutive model for unsaturated soils, conceived in the framework of elasto-plasticity with generalised hardening, dependent on plastic strain and degree of saturation. Convergence, iso-error maps and computational effort are analysed in the following, with reference to a coupled hydro-mechanical path involving plastic strains induced by both load and suction variations.
