ABSTRACT
The decrease in shaft resistance observed related to steel tubular piles. However, this theory should hold for steel sheet piles as, apart from the geometry, there are very few differences. This paper explains similar techniques applied to sheet piles to explore the influence of the profile of the pile tip and pile roughness on driving force in small scale models using the geotechnical centrifuge at City University London.
