ABSTRACT
Figure 1 shows the scheme of the physical model adopted for the tests. The slope model is contained in a 158 cm long, 39 cm wide and 54 cm high box, constituted by an impermeable base, two lateral glass walls and two permeable ones located at the rear and one on the front of the slope. Two steel perforated boxes filled with gravel wrapped in geotextile constitute the permeable walls, allowing water flow to homogenize and the avoidance of fine particle migration.
