ABSTRACT
In geotechnical model tests, geotechnical constructions or structural members are physically modeled along with a representative section of the surrounding soil and loaded equivalent to a prototype situation. The dimensions of the models are reduced to a size which can be handled in research facilities. To do so, the problem including the structure as well as construction processes, in most cases, have to be simplified significantly.
