ABSTRACT
Heavy metal content in neutralisation sludge reaches 5-10% of sludge weight (Jandova et al., 2002). There have been some attempts to apply hydrometalurgical technologies to remove heavy metals from galvanic sludges, but the high investment and operational costs of chemical treatment are limiting factors.
