The content of heavy metals in soils and Populus nigra leaves from the protective zone of the Głogów copper smelter

In the area close to the smelter (Z˙ukowice I) there were mixed plantings with black poplar (Populus nigra) and European weeping birch (Betula pendula) as dominant species, with Siberian peashrub (Caragana arborescens), black locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) and self-spreading black pine (Pinus nigra) in the undergrowth; there were no plants on the forest floor.
