The calculation of usable flow is thus based on a previous determination of the available flow and the fixed in-stream flow downstream of the water intake cross-section. Methods for determining usable resources and randomly occurring water deficits have been analysed for the Leœnianka stream catchment at the cross-section of the existing water intake.
