ABSTRACT
Sincethe„rstdiscoveryofmicroporouszeolites,the„eldofporousmaterialshasbecomeafastgrowing„eld,withrapidprogressinawiderangeof materials.Zeolitesareamongthebest-knownexamples.However,duetothe increasinginterestintheprocessingoflargebulkymolecules,alotofresearch isperformedonmesoporousmaterials.Thischapterdescribestheevolutionofporousmaterials towardanewgenerationofmaterials withbimodal porosity.Furthermore,differentsynthesisroutesaredescribedfortheformation of materials that combine mesopores with zeolite characteristics.
