ABSTRACT
Lignocellulose biotechnology is a science that deals with the application of both physico-chemical and biological technologies in converting plant materials, primarily materials which are considered as waste or are low-value or under-utilized. Through this science we seek to improve:
• the nutritional value of plant-based feeds for animals; • compost production; • recycling of organic waste; and • produce alternative, high-value bioproducts.
