ABSTRACT
There are two main categories of testing with respect to molded optics. These are the testing of molded optic components and the testing of systems incorporating them. Based on these two categories, we discuss some of the methods and equipment normally seen in the testing of molded optics. Many of the tests performed on molded optics are also performed on standard optics and are covered in other texts. We therefore focus on testing that is more speci„c to molded optics, such as aspheric surface form meas ure ment and stray light evaluation.
