Petition to the Inter-American Commissionon Human Rights Seeking Relief from Violations Resulting from Global Warming Caused by Acts and Omissions of the United States

In this petition, Sheila Watt-Cloutier, an Inuk woman and Chair of the Inuit Circumpolar Conference, requests the assistance of the InterAmerican Commission on Human Rights in obtaining relief from human rights violations resulting from the impacts of global warming and climate change caused by acts and omissions of the United States. Ms. WattCloutier submits this petition on behalf of herself, 62 other named individuals, and all the Inuit of the arctic regions of the United States of America and Canada who have been affected by the impacts of climate change described in this petition.
