ABSTRACT
Microbially inšuenced corrosion (MIC) is, by deŽnition, corrosion associated with the action of microorganisms present in the system. MIC is therefore an interdisciplinary subject that embraces the Želds of materials science, chemistry, microbiology, and biochemistry.
