ABSTRACT

At present, modalities of diagnosis and treatment of various diseases, especially cancer, present major limitations, such as poor sensitivity or specifi city, which causes drug toxicity. Personalized medicine has become a hopeful device for biomedical research, with pharmaceutical agents tailored for specifi c diseases and patients. The use of nanotechnology for the development of nano-therapeutics that can target specifi c cells and tissue types provides great promise for personalized medicine applications.
