ABSTRACT
Preparing a patent application filing involves myriad substantive and formal requirements. –e patent application should be drafted keeping in mind the property rights goals of the patent applicant, the public policy functions of a patent (in this chapter, the term patent, by itself, means patent document), and the putative and actual audiences for the patent.
