The contents of the book are partitioned into seven parts: weather routing and meteorological aspects (covering the chapters 1 through 6), ice navigation (covering the chapters 7 through 9), ship construction (covering the chapters 10 through 15), ship propulsion and fuel efficiency (covering the chapters 16 through 21), safe shipping and environment in the Baltic Sea Region (covering the chapters 22 through 26), oil spill response (covering the chapter 27 through 29), large cetaceans (covering the chapters 30 through 32).
