Towards the Model of Traffic Flow on the Southern Baltic Based on Statistical Data

Ships’ traffic is the most important factor of ships safety. A good understanding of traffic stream behavior is necessary for an efficient design of traffic facilities. One needs to understand how vessels interact with each other and with the traffic facility in order to design such facilities better. That is, one needs to understand the stream behavior under various traffic conditions.
