ABSTRACT
The analyses were divided into three stages. First stage is pushover analyses performed on buildings from category 1, designed according to the AISC and NCh433.Of96 rules. Some additional pushover analyses and several iterations were needed to achieve the expected strength capacity for buildings belonging to categories 2 and 3. Ruaumoko-3D software was used. Second stage is the application of N-2 method to these structures (Fajfar, P., 2000). The final stage is a dynamic nonlinear history-time analysis and the comparison of these results with those obtained using N-2 simplified method.
