ABSTRACT

We start by presenting some results obtained in previous works [5-6]. By defi ning meaning as something that must have a fi nite description, we introduced the concept of undivided meaning-whole (UMW). This is structured information which exists internally at the knowledge-base level. Although UMW is a unitary information structure, it can be described rationally in terms of cognitive semantic units. These semantic units form the generating principle of producing the sequence of uttered words.
