ABSTRACT
Bone is a complex metabolically active tissue composed of organic and inorganic components. It consists of osteiod and hydroxyapatite [1]. Osteoid is produced by osteoblasts. It is comprised of collagen and ground substance. The predominant type of collagen is type 1. Hydroxyapatite is formed from calcium and phosphate.
