ABSTRACT

Many materials have been used to repair concrete deterioration, such as cementitious mortars or concretes, epoxy mortars and polymer-modified cement-based mortars. However, some of these materials did not perform adequately on concrete structures. For example, the epoxy mortars in general did not perform well because they were not thermally compatible with the base concrete (Ribeiro et al. 2003) and their bonding to the wet concrete surfaces was very poor.
