ABSTRACT

Leflunomide is cleared by hepatic metabolism, mainly to trifl uoromethylaniline (TFMA)-oxanillic acid and subsequently biliary excretion. Almost half of the administered dose of lefl unomide is excreted as unmetabolized A77 1726 in the feces. A77 1726 is still detectable in the urine 36 days after administration of a single dose. The main metabolites recovered in the urine are glucuronide conjugates and oxanilic acid derivatives.
