ABSTRACT
Mountain watersheds or basins are unique high-relief environments that are important sources of water for local ecosystems and human population, as well as for connected downstream basins (Viviroli et al. 2003). As suggested by Wilson and Guan (2004), mountain watersheds exhibit geological, landscape, climate, and other characteristics that are distinctive from other types of watersheds/basins.
