ABSTRACT
Causes of falls in the workplace are multidimensional and complex, involving environmental and human factors. Environmental factors include characteristics of work surfaces, elevation, and changes in elevation. e dominant environmental factor in falls is the slip resistance characteristic of the ¢oor [6]. Changes in frictional characteristics of the ¢oor surface can cause a loss of traction resulting in a fall.
