ABSTRACT
In the re‰nery, switchgrass is used as both the feedstock for “cellulosic ethanol” fuel and the sole source of heat and electricity required to run the grass decomposition, simple sugar fermentation, and ethanol distillation processes. Both parts of the cycle are repeated each year and deliver a speci‰ed volume of anhydrous ethanol continuously for decades.
