ABSTRACT
454Agile development teams are springing up in large organizations and working side-by-side with teams that use traditionally planned software development approaches. Traditional managers are often uneasy about the perceived misalignment between agile development practices and the metrics and measures with which they are familiar. This chapter introduces some agile measurement concepts. It also explains why and how some traditional estimating techniques should be used to gain control of agile software development.
