ABSTRACT

Worldwide, many requests for proposals (RFPs) are sent out every day to a large number of potential suppliers. In RFPs, client organizations (RFP senders) are trying to gather objective criteria, with which they can analyze and evaluate bids from different suppliers (RFP responders). Although the questions asked in these RFPs are often hard to answer for not so mature organizations, they are sometimes even harder to answer by more mature organizations. In this chapter, the focus is on so-called metrics-based questions in RFPs regarding the selection of a supplier for a software realization project.
