ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The purpose of military camouflage is to prevent the enemy from finding out the target the first time so that they may lose opportunities to attack the target. Therefore, the locations of camouflage need to be studied to achieve the best camouflage effect. The purpose of this study is to find out human visual search strategies and performance in battlefields through the eye tracking experiment, and then to suggest hidden locations for anti-camouflage and camouflage. Besides conducting an experiment in a laboratory, the results are further verified in the field, and a standard evaluation method and procedure for field study is derived.
